In July 2024, Austin-based infrastructure company WhiteWater announced its intention to move forward with the construction of the Blackcomb Pipeline in Texas. Once completed, the pipeline will carry daily up to 2.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas 365 miles from the Permian Basin to the Agua Dulce area. This planned route means the pipeline will start in West Texas and terminate in South Texas.
The pipeline is expected to open in the second half of 2026.
Some landowners in the affected areas have already been contacted about the project.
